Ellon Sub Aqua Club is Branch 1193 of the British Sub-Aqua Club.
We have been an established dive club in the North East of Scotland since 1980. We have about 40 members from novices to National Instructors and are able to provide a range of both diving and training opportunities.
We dive as much as we can throughout the year – weather and tides permitting. We regularly dive around the the north east coast and run trips around the rest of Scotland, northern England and the rest of the world.
We offer a friendly, training focused atmosphere in which to learn or develop your diving, and have a number of instructors in the club all keen to train. We offer Try Dives and training through the British Sub-Aqua Club from novices to Advanced Diver, and can help with First Class Diver. We have a range of equipment for our trainees to learn with, until they get their own.
Thursday night is our club night. In summer we meet for a dive or open water training. From September to May we use the pool at Ellon Community Campus two Thursdays out of three for training. The third Thursday we meet for theory sessions or socialising.
We are an active club with an established social calendar throughout the year such as guest speakers, curry nights, visits to the hyperbaric centre, ten-pin bowling and Macduff Marine Aquarium, as well as our annual Christmas night out and AGM.
